Federico Abis, or as everyone calls him Fed, has been with Dance Mambo since the very beginning. Inheriting the school from its founder back in 2017, he has been at the lead ever since.
Mad about Mambo, he is the curator of our Spotify playlists which you can find HERE.
Passionate amateur photographer and videographer Fed is the person behind most of Dance Mambo’s media productions, you’ll often see him in the wild taking shots of dancers at sunset.
Fed, mambo italiano, back home they call me Shamba. Don’t ask why.
Something not many people know:
Can eat surprising quantities of pizza in one setting.
Serious stuff, what do you actually do in DM:
Managing the administrative side of the business is my main task. Aside from that I teach a portion of our weekly classes, make plenty of inappropriate jokes, choreograph and coach our teams.
Why DM :
Dance Mambo is my everyday happy place, we could even say Zen place if you want to call it that way. Life can be difficult, but dancing just makes it so much easier. We can come together, share a moment, be creative and make a difference for each other.
To me it means so much more than just dancing, it’s like a second family kept together by a common passion.
I work full time as an IT Manager which takes up most of my days. If not in the office, and not dancing, then I’m either taking photos, playing congas, riding my motorbike, or having meaningful conversations while sipping coffee.
